Doing God’s work – living the Gospel – is best expressed when we work to serve others, especially those in need. Much of what we do in Youth Ministry falls into this category such as 30 Hour Famine, Trick or Treat for Canned Goods, Project Inasmuch and Habitat for Humanity.
Every summer Saint Patrick Catholic Youth Ministry sponsors a week long mission project for high school students to spend the week together and with other teens from the area and other states to repair homes for people who need this kind of assistance. This week of service – of literally building God’s kingdom – is a life changing experience.
This mission is known as Home Works and more information about the Home Works organization can be found here – www.homeworksofamerica.org
