How do I become a Catholic?

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults/Catechumenate

Contact:             Joe Long                                        323-24l0 x112                             joelong@stpatnc.org

This formation process (incorporating evangelization, liturgy, and catechesis) is for those adults (and children around the age of seven) who have not been baptized and now seek life with Christ in the Catholic Church.

The entire process consists of four periods-- inquiry, catechumenate, purification and enlightenment, and mystagogy each bridged by a liturgical celebration.

The process is adapted for those already baptized in another Christian tradition and who now seek the full communion of the Catholic Church.

Inquiry meetings are on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30 (for those beginning the process)
